Bio
Most of this journal is friends only, but if you friend me, I'll more than likely friend you back.

Books:
Blue heaven - Joe Keenan / She's come undone - Wally Lamb / The kitchen god's wife - Amy Tan / Remains of the day - Kazuo Ishiguro/
Most things by Bill Bryson / A streetcar named Desire (I know, I know, it's a play but it's fantastic, so I included it...).

Music:
Hurt - Johnny Cash ( I know it's a cover but he sings it with great feeling....)
Tonight is the night I fell asleep at the wheel - Barenaked Ladies
I'm a fool to want you - Frank Sinatra
Original sin - Elton John
One for my baby - Frank Sinatra (Sinatra again, I know but this is my favourite song...has been since I heard it for the first time when I was about 14 (which is a long time ago), so that must mean *something*)
The old apartment - Barenaked Ladies
Air on a G string - J.S Bach
Piano Concerto No. 3 in D minor - S Rachmaninoff
Both sides now - Joni Mitchell
Carolina on my mind - James Taylor
Misty - Ella Fitzgerald
You belong to me - Dean Martin
I'm making believe - Ella fitzgerald and the Ink Spots
Till then - Mills brothers
I'll just close my eyes - Ann Shelton
Train in the distance - Paul Simon
Pretty much anything by Johnny Mercer, what can I say, I admire the man fervently.
Most of the album "Buttercup Bugle" by Lori Cullen (Box of things, Clearer weather, lopin' through the cosmos and China sea are stunning...)

I'm fairly eclectic but I find myself returning time and time again to Sinatra, especially his Capitol years....

TV:
Fawlty Towers, Monty Python, Scrubs, Whose Line is it anyway?, Any of Michael Palin's travel docs, House, QI,Masterchef, Family guy

Films:
Singing in the rain, most things with either Fred Astaire, Cary Grant or Jimmy Stewart, Snow Cake, The bird cage, Breaking the code.

What I do for fun:
Cook, travel, read and, on occasion, I try to write but it hardly ever leads anywhere
